Two Tiny Pear Crisps

I quickly prepped these crisps and baked them in my toaster oven (you have to watch it though – toaster ovens have a heating element on top and bottom, you can burn the granola if not careful). They were perfect for a light dessert for movie night for the husband and I.

You can use any type of canned fruit for this recipe, packed in fruit juice is better than syrup for calories if watching that.

Tiny Pear Crisps

Ingredients:

1 16-ounce can of sliced pears, drained

2 Tbsp sugar

1 tsp corn starch

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 cup crumbled granola

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400*

Mix the first 4 items in a small mixing bowl. Split it between 2 10-ounce glass baking cups (ie..custard dishes or ramekins that are oven proof). Top each dish with 2 Tbsp granola.

Pop into the oven and bake for 20 minutes. The top will get golden.

  1. I love to make little desserts like this. It makes a pretty good warm breakfast, too! This recipe just *begs* for toasted pecans or walnuts, though. The combination of fruit+nuts is totally sacred. 🙂
