Maple Snickerdoodles

Maple Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1 /2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup softened butter

1 cup white sugar

3 Tbsp pure maple syrup

1 egg

For rolling:

1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 cup maple sugar

Directions:

Heat the oven to 350*.

Stir the flour baking powder, cinnamon and baking soda together in a small bowl.

In your mixers bowl cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and maple syrup.

Gradually blend in the dry items until mixed.

In a soup bowl combine the other sugars for rolling. Scoop out 36 balls of dough, rolling each one in the sugars.

Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. They will be crackly on top and look slightly wet in the middle. Let cool for a couple minutes then move to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Makes 36 cookies (3 dozen).
