Coming Soon: A new All Natural Red Velvet Recipe

Last year when I was pregnant with Walker a couple of my friends threw a ‘non’ baby shower for me (basically the hiking group came, lots of guys). I was waddling pretty good – I was about 6 weeks away from having him, so it was nice to see everyone and be entertained. Anyhow, due to my dietary restrictions of no artificial colors and boredom of just sitting around I came up with a great recipe for all natural red velvet cupcakes using freeze-dried beet powder for the coloring. I also used the powder to dye the frosting on cookies.

Anyhow I am working on a new version this afternoon using a different dye (all natural of course!!) and we shall see how it goes. I am excited though. As soon as I get them done I will post the recipe up with photos and links to what I used.
