Divvies Chocolate Cupcakes

It has been awhile since I made any not-so-good baked treats and I was craving chocolate so I went through my pile of “saved recipes” and saw the Divvies recipe that was featured on Martha Stewart.

Tips? Sift the flour and dry ingredients together, it will break up clumps of cocoa powder for a smoother batter. While the recipe calls for using a mixer you can mix it up easily with a heavy duty whisk – one less thing to clean (especially if you are making frosting later!).

The recipe is supposed to make 12 cupcakes, after filling my tins ¾ full I had a good amount of batter left so I sprayed a mini-muffin tin and got about 14 tiny cupcakes along with the 12 full size. For mini cupcakes bake about 10-12 minutes, the full size took me 20 minutes. Do watch that you don’t over bake, they will be dried out if you do.

They were very tasty and cured my choco-vegan cravings quickly!
